About Us

Mutts in Need rescues and re-homes dogs of all sizes and breeds to homes in Orange County and the surrounding areas. Our top priority is finding safe, loving, permanent homes for our dogs, for life.

All of our rescues are micro-chipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and dewormed prior to adoption. 

Many of our dogs are housed at a central location in Newport Beach, though we also support a small foster network. ALL of our rescue staff are VOLUNTEERS--so we always appreciate donations and extra hands! See our "Be A Part" page for more info.

Mission Statement

​Mutts in Need provides care, comfort and compassion to dogs in need to bring about an end to the killing of abandoned and orphaned shelter animals.  We are a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to reducing overpopulation, abuse and neglect of domestic animals.

Mutts in Need is run entirely by compassionate like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save the lives and then care for these dogs.
